Yellow tinged water

I think you may have some sort of bloom combined with the tannins. Tannins on their own do not make the water cloudy, and the light is cutting through something in the water.

I bet it's still leeching them...boiling may have opened up the pores/cells of the wood
It's harmless, and actually beneficial to your fish, as you probably already know...I wouldn't fret over it too much
Eventually, WC's and time will take care of it

That looks like mopani, to me...when you boiled it, did alot of tannins come out?
Yes quite a lot
Beautiful fish by the way. I would put my money on the driftwood as well, next thing I would do is soak it in a bucket and change out the water daily until the water stays clear for a couple of days.

What substrate are you using?

Thank you all for the imput ..I'm using a fluval substrate they are like hard balls of soil can't remember what it was call i think ill take the driftwood out and try soaking it as recommended....@morcdelia I was surprised when I fist set up the aquarium I vigorously test and have never had no signs of anything the only tests that are slightly out are ph-6.2 and my water is very soft

More than welcome, Neil...personally, I like the look of tinted water, I use IAL's in all of my tanks to achieve just that...many fish in the wild don't live in crystal-clear water, but rather water that is stained/tinted from tannins and decomposing matter...tinted tanks have a more natural look to them, IMO

Just an update for you all and a big thank you for all your help, I got busy Saturday night removed my driftwood and did a 40% water change....I arrive home today...bingo tanks all cleared up it was the driftwood its now in a bucket of water out back until all the tannins have gone, thanks again ppl???
