These are my brand new guys. I have two of them. One is really opens and bites my fingers if I put them in there and gobbles up blood worms like a little pacu. But the other one who I think is the female is a little more shy.
Here's the first pic. He's smiling at you!

It's hard to get good pics of them because they are always at the surface of the water, unless they get too close to the filter and it shoots them down a few inches. This one is bad but it shows his nice colors.

This is my paradise fish. His color hasn't totally returned yet and he's still a little shy but he's doing well. He's a very big eater! He's the biggest fish in the tank and also the biggest scardy cat.

I have ;)

Good photos, i can never get mine to sit still for the camera either.

They're really lovely.

Panchax's are not difficult to keep at all, the only thing to be wary of is that some of them grow quite large and have big mouths, and will eat something like a Guppy or Neon. The one in the picture is the gold form of Aplocheilus lineatus - a very robust, easy fish. They are best kept singly or as a real pair, they tend to fight in small tanks.

The lyretails etc., are a little more difficult, but not overly so. Thing with many Killi's is they have very short lives - in the wild, many are "annual" fish, hatch grow breed and die in a single seaon. The eggs survive the dry season, for many months in some cases, and hatch when the rains return.

oh i have something to add... they like to jump... well at least mine did, while i was on vacation :-( and i can't find ne more
Beautiful pics! i second the FOTM nomination

Thanks guys!
I lowered the water level about two inches so they don't jump! They are super zippy. The gold form is called golden wonder. It's really cool. I must have two males  because books say the females have dark stripes. But they get along well and there hasn't been any fighting between them yet. They both stay at opposite ends of the tank most of the time. They are about 1.5 inches right now and get 4 inches. They are really cool!!!!!

FOTM for the third pic! Great looking fish! :fish: Love the color! :D
