I Have been offered a yellow lab from a mate whos moving house.

I havnt had a great deal of time to research so im asking for some quick advice

Would they be suitable for a tank with serpae tetras 7 and 6 zebra danios.

Would i be better with more than one also.

Cheers

The only fish I know of with the general name of yellow lab is an African cichlid, Mbuna. If so, then no, he can't be in a community tank.

Do you happen to know the scientific name?

from the pictures it must be this

Labidochromis Caeruleus

My mate calls it a yellow morph?

these fish should only stick to cichlid tanks as a rouge can cause havic in a community fish.

Yea, that's what I was thinking it was. like mentioned, they shouldn't be with community fish. They are too quick and aggresive for them and have territorial boundaries. For the most part, community fish don't understand this like other cichlids and would probably eventually be hurt badly or killed for the misunderstanding.

Cheers for the advice. I passed on the opportunity.
