I currently have 3 yellow labs in a 40 gallon tank with some other tank mates and i noticed that all three have eggspots on their anal fins now...is this a sign that their breeding or what?

Egg spots are often a sign of a male fish, but females can have them too so it's a fairly unreliable way of sexing them. How big are they now? Males will generally start breeding at about 2.5 inches, females a little smaller. Signs of breeding can only really be seen through behavior.

When I first got malawi I thought that all was male then one day my wife pointed out the little chaps swimming among the rocks.

Plenty of eggspots normaly indicate Male with the females having up to three spots.

The falsity that it is the male that display the better colors is also not true.

I have beatyful color female.

One caractiristic of the Hap is that it looks like a predator sleek and fast where the mbuna is more round faced and thicker of body.

you can not mistake a hap for a mbuna once you know the differance.

My avatar that is clearly hap ali

and freddyk's one's mbuna

My Avitar is Hypsophrys Nicaraguensis, central american.
