been 3 weeks 4 days...

wondering if she has spit them but sucks them back up when someone comes near the tank?

That's possible. I had one lab that decided to be stubborn and held for 32 days before I stripped her for fear of her health. She was rather skinny, but I was able to feed her up pretty quickly. I'm not sure if it was just my labs, but they always seemed to hold longer than the other species I kept.

4 weeks!!!

Gettting ANGRY .........

jks i went too strip her today because i was sure the fry were free swimming and i stripped around 8 fry out!!!
I then returned her to the main tank and caught all the fry and put them in a plastic breeding box (so they can be closely monitered and have a good chance at finding food) this is only temporary.

and then....... when i was catching the fry to put them in a breeder box I found 13 and i am going to try and strip her again because she looks like she has more!!

Sturbborn little gits aren't they. That's the problem I always had with my labs. Congrats on the fry, thats pretty impressive for such a little thing. :good:

Labs are growing well......

Some are turning very yellow now and they are getting bigger, all 14 still in good health

Oops, sorry no update, i stripped her again cause it looked like she was still holding and wasn't eating, I got 1 more fry so that is 14

That makes 26 cichlids, is that bad?? Even though 14 are tiny they will grow, why can't I have 26 cichlids, I do
a 20 - 25% water change weekly on the tank and have 720 gph of filtration between 3 filters?

Haven't been on in a while, 2nd batch has been stripped, the first ones are in the main tank
