I got two new mollies today. They are golddust ones. A male and a female (I already have two females). They are in quarentine today because they just got off the "tempararily not for sale, under observation" from having ich. So they are in a small tank with ich medicine and an air stone for a week.

I've tried to get pictures, but they are fast little buggers. I think it will be easier when they are in the big tank.

Your going to breed them then, what are you going to do with your fry?

I'm going to let the strongest and smartest (the ones that hide the best) survive. I'm not going to be netting them out at all.

I have a silver molly who I've been keeping by herself because she won't leave the other fish in the big tank alone, so I thougt maybe by getting a boy to bug her she might leave the others alone. If not, oh well. I can always move her back out. And I've had my eye on the new girl I got for over a week and when they took her off observation I knew I had to get her.

Try taking pictures in the middle of the night. If you turn the lights on in the tank with the room lights out, you will get the lighting on the subject and get less glare and the fish will be groggy and not so quick to move out of the shot.

Good idea. :good: One problem though... the fish are kept in the room that my daughter sleeps in. I don't think she would be too happy if I turned on their light in the middle of the night. And she goes to bed at 8pm, so it's still a little light out when she goes to bed.

But thanks for the idea. I'll try probably on Monday to get pictures. I have to work all day tomorrw or I'd try then.

haha my obsession doesn't go that far. Cuz then I would be the one staying up with her the rest of the night. :p

Here are the pictures I got. I got a video too, click here to see it.

Holy moley! I have a Molly that looks just like your female. It's yellowish in the front, black in the back, and yellow again on the tail. I call her Bird Poo.

Yeah, like four years ago I used to have a male molly that looked just like her only he was a sailfin. I didn't realize how close they looked until I took the pictures and put them on the computer.
