My angles spawned for the first time yesterday afternoon They're both still very young, but things are looking good! I'm so proud of my little angels, they are proving to be excellent parents already Here's a pic of the eggs

And the proud mom keeping them nice and fanned

The eggs began hatching at around 10pm tonight Mom and dad have spent the past couple hours helping the little wrigglers out of their eggs and moving them to the top of a fake banana plant leaf. And I've been busy snapping as many photos as I can will post some tomorrow! It's amazing, wasn't exactly planned for, but a VERY nice surprise.

I bought both of them, I think it was back in May, and they were very small, so I had no idea on the sexes. As they grew, I suspected I had one of each, but I was just juding this by body shape, fins and behaviour. It wasn't until their breeding tubes came down that I knew for sure. The males is sorta short thin and pointy, and the females is wider, bigger and looks sorta like a short chubby cone. Yeah I know, kind of hard to describe

Well, the night the eggs hatched was a tough night for the angels, I guess they had a hard time fighting off the catfish through the night and by morning all the wrigglers were gone.........

But, they spawned for me again 9 days after the first spawn This time, I was prepared and had bought a tank divider and put it in the morning after they spawned. The eggs were laid on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm on the exact same spot of the same rock. The eggs hatched yesterday at 3pm, and were moved by the angels to a nearby leaf. The wrigglers are now almost 24 hours old and being heavily guarded by both mom and dad. So far, they are making excellent parents
