Snotirl,
I bought both of them, I think it was back in May, and they were very small, so I had no idea on the sexes. As they grew, I suspected I had one of each, but I was just juding this by body shape, fins and behaviour. It wasn't until their breeding tubes came down that I knew for sure. The males is sorta short thin and pointy, and the females is wider, bigger and looks sorta like a short chubby cone. Yeah I know, kind of hard to describe
Well, the night the eggs hatched was a tough night for the angels, I guess they had a hard time fighting off the catfish through the night and by morning all the wrigglers were gone.........
But, they spawned for me again 9 days after the first spawn
This time, I was prepared and had bought a tank divider and put it in the morning after they spawned. The eggs were laid on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm on the exact same spot of the same rock. The eggs hatched yesterday at 3pm, and were moved by the angels to a nearby leaf. The wrigglers are now almost 24 hours old and being heavily guarded by both mom and dad. So far, they are making excellent parents
