Xenia Question

my xenia was on a small frag for about 2 months, now it has leaned over and attached part of its body to the rock next to it. If i cut the xenia thats between the frag and the rock its now attached to, will it be ok? ill post a pic to try and show what i mean

Yeah, 95%+ of the time Xenia tolerates fragging just fine. Its a really hardy coral.

well i got me a nice sharp razor blade to cut my xenia. i got the in between the main stalk and the new attached one, but now the peice that attached itself to the new rock is all closed and turned a much darker color. Is this normal? Should i just wait it out?? I will try and post a sketch of what i did.
