Hello,
Decided to go for CO2 - collected all the bits, apart from a diffuser.... ordered one off ebay - but the post man managed to trash it (nice glass thistle...) :(

Phone around the local shops, but the ones who knew what I was on about didnt have them...

Any ideas please ?

from my basic knowledge of this the water disturbance from being pumped around and through the filter from this would lead to minimal co2 taken into the water.

i could be wrong though

It's my understanding that if you can get your CO2 into your filter that is the best way. I'm currently doing so and I don't see a single bubble come out of my filter outlet.

I've read that it does the best job of having CO2 diffuse almsot 100% into the water, meaning you need less bubbles/second to get the same outcome.

Granted it gets a LOT of disturbance, but as its a sealed unit - where can the gas go ? It HAS to go into the water....

Only reservation I have is, can co2 damage any of the filter ? ie seals etc ?
