WOW

I just looked at it and there are 7 im pretty sure. Plus 3 hippo tangs, a juvenile angel i am too lazy to ID, a ton of anthias. Its probly pretty close.

I dont know who the persons tank it is, I kust love the aquascaping and the cleanliness of it. I was suprised how many tangs there were in a tank of this size. Its 300 gallons and roughly 10 tangs? I am considering 3 tangs for my 220 gallon and eventhen i dont know how i can justify it. However we dont know what type of filtration this tanks has... perhaps it has a very large sump to help with volume and water quality. This doesnt stop the swimming room of course but the tank is very successful looking.
I would imagine these tangs were all added together and this stopped any aggression.. However its not my tank, i dont know the person s o i relly cant speculate. I just posted it as it was a large tankthat i admired greatly... Not as large as the topic subject of course but i couldnt help myself :*)

Hey, Seaquariums! I'm good friends with the owners :)
Their store is here in my town. They once did a 5000 tank that a guy built his house around. He houses 6ft sharks in it.

In their store here, they have a small swimming pool set up inside with baby sharks and rays in it. It's pretty much like their quarentine tank. The owners are very sweet people.

6ft sharks in your house! Theres an easy weay to get rid of the in-laws. I would fill it up with dolphins, and possibly a school of killer whales.

DB :fish:

good lord above! i love all those tanks. the 4,000 is AMAZING! i would love to have one. but to buy a house large enough to fit that aquarium here in the bay area where i live would require me to be a bazillionare LOL

You realise an 8 foot by 8 foot footprint 8 feet high is like 3,600 gallons, I'm sure you could get a house with an extra 64 Sq. FT in it. :D Then I could come visit

Did anyone eles notice the 4 inch thick walls on the 4000 gallon? Holy crap!! I wonder what the floor supports look like. I would be like putting 2 Mac trucks in your living room.

Is it ok to put six foot sharks even in a tank that large? How much surface space is in the 5000 gallon tank?

A shark would probably do fine in a 20 foot long tank. As for surface area, depends on how deepyou want it, pick a depth and we can give you a surface area in a moments notice

actually if it gets 6 feet it probly cant stop swimming or else it will die so you would need like a 40 foot by 30 foot tank. An epaullette or such would be more than fine in a 20 foot tank
