WOW

no way!!

that's wild.
are there any other pics of the 4000 gal. installed and running(stocked)?

I"ll take pics of the 3,000 gallon, and 1,500 gallon tank I take care of, fish only, but still really awesome.

Ohhhhhhh..... I'd love it, can you imagine trying to catch a critter in that thing!!!
you'd have to wear your suit

THAT is truely huge, there you go nav take your roof off and have crane lift in you 220gallon tank or just do what he did and build the house around the fish tank :D

Holy jeebus. An aquarium of that size in your HOUSE?!

I'm building a 350-gallon in my basement, and the nice thing is, it's going to be a giant L-shape so I can carry it in the basement door without ripping the wall out.

I dread to think what the liverock will cost!

It wont be normal liverock either, the usual sized lumps of liverock four our tanks simply wont look right in a tank that size (looks like rubble). You would need to order special grade liverock that is basically HUGE chunks lifted from the ocean! This will cost a fortune! Mind you, if they can afford a tank of this size and by the looks of the house they are not short of cash then its well within their price range.

Lovley tank though! That mght just be large enough to house that Sohal tang i so badly want!

That's wild, I'm looking at doing a 4,500 to 6,000 gallon project, but that's essentially going to be a pond, not tank.

I'm with Navarre on the liverock...come to think about it, what about lights (for reef)?

I seem to recall a guy used to have a 4,000 gallon pond-style construct in his basement and needed around 4-6 1000W MH. Serious electric there, not to mention the cost of salt for a water change.

He eventually stripped his down due to the damage the mass evaporation caused.

Not my tanks but a member to another forum.

That last one is almost identical to one of the display tanks at my LFS. Only they had a refit and removed some of their corals about 6 months ago. It's a fantastic looking tank and one I enjoy wandering round. Similar size to that one as well.

If i see all the fish i think i see that last tank is way overstocked. Im Praying it is the reflection and not 10 yellow tangs in theri.
