Wow You Got To See This Big Boy...

either that or its some crazy line bred bristle nose, but ive ad fuly grown adults for years that coulnt push past 5-6 inches ... that thing is massive

There's a 3ft catfish in the Maidenhead aquatics, 'rescue' they call him. MASSIVE white and black thing, #40## scary lol

Been to see him today and he looks so awesome, he isnt a medusa the body shape is all wrong they are the biggest bristles ive ever seen, I want to swap to tetra prima I have been hearing a lot of good things about it recently! I dont think he was 9 inches though probs closer to 7 the small tank might have made him look bigger.

prima what we use at our store ... its good but the fish poo is bright red :D only draw back

which maiden head did u see the giant catfish at ?

there are 2 massive catfish at MH Beverley. one is a red tailed catfish, and the other a giraffe catfish. i don't know which one Beth meant, probably the rtcf. :good:

red tails are amazing creatures, so soft and gentle, can feed from the hand. (have apic of one in my avatar)
easily my favourite catfish but cannot be kept in the home aquaria unfortunately.

i would buy that BN, hes unique!

yes, how much is it? i love the red tailed catfish aswell, but i'm not allowed a tropical pond in the living room. :(

Ohh it looks liek your avatar but not as much black on the head

The big BN didnt have a price on but I imagine he will be £20 its what they usually sell their rehomed plecs at.

On an other note - the rest of their prices are insane!! £17 for tiny geophagus £32 for tiny tiny flash plecs its mental!

The one in the picture he wanted £25 for it, but he also said he was seriously considering taking it home himself.

Is in my view Medusa, have kept them as well as Bristlenose. Looks precisely the same as a adult male Medusa I kept for nearly six years before ice storm knocked out power for five days.
The Medusa was my favorite fish in the tank along with some Keyhole cichlids.
Have kept many, many, bristlenose including a pair of long finned Albinos at present, and some 40 fry. Am near certain that the fish (and a handsome one),, Is not Bristlenose. Opinions vary.
