uhhh,I'll have to disagree and say no other fish unless he's in at least a 10 gallon :) Bettas don't get depressed for fish of other kinds,they actually would rather have a betta neighbor IMO. That's how they grew up :)

True....

This is what I sugggest Get an inexpensive Bowl.. for 5-6 dollars they got around 1.5 gallons

Then buy another betta and watch them flare and make bubblenest..

I agree with Wuv, Bettas don't get "depressed" IMO...as long as they can see people occassionally. In fact many Bettas will kill anything else in the tank with them (I've lost many snails due to this, haha).

My VT is happy when I enter the room. My MG VT is happy when he sees the CT. My CT is happy when he gets food. :p No depression over here.

Just to clarify - the second Betta should be put in a second bowl. Two male Bettas should *not* be housed together!

Most or all of you probably know that, but I just wanted to make sure.... :nod:

sorry, didnt know that. my female gets depressed without her guppy friend,lol
