Would This Be Ok?

thanks for your reply, would a vase seriously be oright?
Just for a short term thing until i get the tank. Because i'd get the betta first to see what colour it is, then i'd be able to choose what leds to use. Would the vase need a heater? Or could you put it on a window sill, especially with all this hot weather?

I would keep it out of direct sun light, ours breed in a large plastic container on a table, but our room temperature is a constant 24-25 degrees. it allows quick and easy water changes (water taken from main tanks) as well as easy maintenence and cleaning.

Where are you from? as we have around 30 betta fry at the moment which you are more than welcome to have some if you like but you would need to collect them as i wouldnt risk sending them in the post.

Well we are not far about an hour dont worry about funding you can literally have some but it may be worth waiting a couple of weeks any way as they need to grow plus you will be able to see how we keep them.

I can also bag up some cycled water for you too if it helps.

In fact i have a spare 2 foot tank with new heater and two month old filter plus gravel a few plants and lighting which you could have for £50

its not in use at the moment but it does have water running through which also gets changed regularly just incase we did ever have to use it .

2ft new thermostat 2 month old filter all cycled water can be bagged up ready for fish straight away, plants and substrate/lighting too. you can have it for £50 and have a couple of bettas at the same time if you like
 
I can only have a small tank as it would have to fit in my bedroom, i'll probably buy the one that i originally asked about. Thanks for the offer.

No worries you are still more than welcome to help your self to some bettas though :)
 
I can never turn down some beautiful bettas, it would have to be after the 10th of august as i am going on holiday.

Thats cool all our males get along anyway so we can hold on to some for you. as its manly friendly and family having the rest. what would you perfer and what colours?

They are more than likely to be red or blue or a mix between the two.
