none of tose will need ferts, really. and I wouldnt use dirt compost stuff in an aquarium. Sounds like a god awful idea. Tere are plenty of oter options tat would be muc safer. Also, Amazon Swords can get really freakin gigantic. try sometin else imo.
There are literally thousands of examples of successful planted tanks using a soil substrate if you look around on the web. People have been doing it as long as they've been putting plants in aquaria. As long as you are a little bit careful with your soil selection it can be a very stable and effective substrate for planted tanks.
