Would This Be Ok For A Betta Tank?

I ran across this last night in Petsmart, and it looked perfect for a betta (nix the goldfish food) It was cheep, pretty, and had a filter too!

I don't see why not. It's 1.77gals which is awesome for space a betta would (imo).

that would be fine. i'd watch that filter though, it might be a bit rubbish!

It def. wouldn't be ok for a goldfish, but for a betta, 1 gal is the acceptable minimum, so it would certainly be a decent enough tank . You would have to replace the plant though; it looks to be plastic and would probably shred the poor boy's fins quite a bit. That aside, looks pretty good.

Though, I think there are a few 2 gallon tanks for sale with a gentler UGF for about the same price

It would be fine, but I think I'd go with the mini bow like catxx posted. For $6 more, you get a bigger tank and a hood with a light. Either way though, you'll have a good betta home.

That should make a fine home for a betta. I probably would not use the filter and just do a full water every 5 days or so.
