USA,
I want to add some females to my 55 gallon tank,

I have:

5 small angelfish, whom will be rehomed when bigger
a pair of cherry barbs
2 dojo loaches
1 panda corry, the others died
4 danios- others died as well
3 minnows- others died as well
3 cherry barbs- they are really nice and not nippy
1 scardy cat opaline gourami female

I can rehome the gourami if needed.
And I fixed the issue to the deaths, I had a small ammonia spike because I had a few rotting plants, but its all fine now.

You have listed a pair of cherry barbs and then 3 cherry barbs farther down.

Rotting plants don't spike ammonia, but they could have raised you phosphorus or nitrate levels. Or the ammonia spike could have killed the plants and the fish.

Seems to me that a few females would be ok. You might also want to fill out your schools too, for those schooling fish that are low in numbers now.

ooop,s I meant 3 rosy barbs, lol

I know, I just havent had time to go to the fish store

Sounds like you have a very calm community tank, so I'd say a few girls would be fine. Could add some more color and personality to your tank. Hope you find some mellow girls!!
