Hi,
I wonder if anyone can give me some advice please?
I have a 180l Juwel Rio tank that has been up and running fully cycled and nicely planted for around 18 months now.......
However, a year ago (prior to adding UV) I had a bout of Ich and the treatment used has left an ever-so-slight blue colouration on my structured background (like the juwel ones, only cheap inferior ones...why did I try to save money?).
We would like to basically remove this old background and add new (better quality) ones.
Here is the crunch....lol, how would I go about doing this since the tank community is thriving (with babies born last october and survived too)?
Any help would be great!

Cheers,
Dean

You need to strip the tank down and dry it out, add the backgrounds, leave to set then refill

cheers, any idea of housing the current fish elsewhere?

i have : -
3 clown loaches
3 flying foxes
6 cardinal tetras
2 golden barbs
8 black ruby barbs (was 3.lol 5 babies)
2 corys

PS i went for blue :hyper:

My tank came with a really awful background, so I just turned it over (the other side is black) and bingo perfect backround. IMHO you can't beat basic black to show everything off to it's best, also it's on the outside of the tank, so there's no waiting and no disturbing fish!

Do the backgrounds go on the inside of the rear wall??? Can't you just tape 'em on the outter side of the back wall...? hehe. I don't know know ANYTHING except what I read on this site. Sorry for what are most likely stupid questions/comment!

Most poster type just tape on the out side of your tank, 3D plastic type need to be bonded on the inside!

oohhh. Okay, thanks for clearing that up! I was about to say, that'd be a lot of work just to get a pretty background! haha.
