this is a guaranteed web hosting. he wouldnt screw me over, we are good mates, prob the closest in the family. we grew up together he like a brother really

well i am not quite sure to be honest. I think that having a team of people would be better so maybe i will scrap the 18 thing. as long as someone knows what their on about they are more than welcome to contribute.

Maybe try to get different people who can specialize in a specific subject (e.g breeding or caring for your fish)

Seems reasonable to me that if you're wanting people to help you with a website that you explain what you'll be bringing to the table...

Your mate is providing hosting..

Your asking other people to write articles..

You ditched the idea of writing the website as it's too much work...(which in all honesty it isn't if you do it correctly, in fact assuming you have the basic design done then you could knock it out in a day max)...

So what are you doing for this website other than being the person in charge...

I wouldn't challenge someone to that if I were you lol, granted it was a small site but I've done it on more than one occasion lol. Someone needs to manage the project and bring everything together, where's the community spirit lol.

also i never said i have ditched the idea of writing to website! i purely want articles to put in an article section.

All i am asking for is a little help as obviously everyone knows a little more about a certain species or subject. So why limit to my knowledge when people are willing to enlighten us with theirs??

not appreciating it is irrelevant...and as for working 9 hours a dar 5 days a week...I wish i did as little as that!

It's my job, a long with some other things...and making the basic layout/structure of the site is perfeclty possible in a day. No-one is saying you can have every piece of content added in in one day, a website should be constantly evolving anyway. However, you can easily start with nothing and have a basic site up and running in a day.

However, my point still stands...only, you seem to think it's perfectly alright for you to ask for help for free but I'm out of line for asking what your going to do towards it? Apparently, nothing it would seem other than taking completely fair comments too personally.

What would be the differences between this new website and fishforums.net ?

Here you can find out about all species,there's even a species section,there are pinned topics on pretty much all aspects of fishkeeping(setting up a new aquarium,maintenance etc).

I'm not being picky here,genuinely curious.

If I had the time then in all honesty, I'd spend it doing my own site...

One thing that may help though is to do a search for website templates....there are thousands which he can download and pretty much start putting content straight into. That would take a lot of the inital work out....
