Would a Rancor kill my fish?

Just got my very first tank (75 gallon). Going to take it slow getting it set up and ready before starting to introduce fishies to the mix. As part of my research, here's a question for the fish gurus.

Question is: can I put my 12" rubber Rancor toy in there? A plaster-ish gargoyle? A rubber lizard? A plastic playset of a moon base?

I don't have standard tastes and this won't be a standard tank set-up ... I just want to know if anyone knows anything about any possible dangers of using cool rubber monsters instead of boring (but known to be safe) aquarium decorations.

Thanks!

I was at a pet store the other day and saw some gi Joe action figures in a few of the tanks. they were painted but had algae growing off them. of course they were about 3 inches tall...I would soak it in a pot of water for a few days just to let the "what ever might leech in my water" leach into the pot. that is usually what i do for rock and drift wood....I am also doing that with a piece of PVC. I need to ask on that to be sure though.

Sweet!!! :D

I used to have the original one (Rancor), but sold it a few years back. Actually sold my whole star wars collection. Between my brother and I, we had nearly every vehicle they ever came out with. I saw on ebay they were selling the original Star Wars action figures still in their boxes for upwards of $500!

Have no clue what they'll do in a fish tank, but wouldn't think anything. I'd give it a go.

Are there any known guidelines for what types of plastics and paints are dangerous?

Another thing you would have to worry about is if there is any metal in them at all. Some action figures have screw's and what not to hold them together. I wouldn't want rust in my tank...would you?
