I bet it would be. Puffers are messy fish. I have 2 of them in different aquariums. In one aquarium, a 10 gallon, I run the bio-wheel mini which does 100 Gallons Per Hour of filtration.
People reccomend a filter that filters 10 times the size of your tank per hour for puffers. Which is what mine does, and it seems to do a pretty good job. I do try to change the filters every 3 weeks instead of the reccomended month b/c I think they get clogged up with goop around then since I feed my fish bloodworms instead of flakes or pellets.
So technically at 330 GPH it wouldn't quite be 10 times the filtration, but it would probably do a good job anyways. Especially if you change the filters every 3 weeks which I would reccomend.
