Would A Figure 8 Puffer Eat Amano Shrimp?

This is a fish I have always liked, but too fearful of adding one to a community aquarium. I already have way too many tanks or I might consider a "species only" tank for them! LOL Just my opinion, and I am a newbie, so others might comment differently.

i would think so to, you can just about get away with it for a 1inch dwarf puffer, but the sheer size of the fig8 makes me think mr shrimp will be slaughtered

from the LPS the shrimp are about 1" and the puffers are smaller than that!

being as the puffer is (i assume) too small to eat the shrimp, would it grow up being unable to eat it (at first) then just ignore the shrimp as it grew or would it jst kill the shrimp when it was old enough?

Mine took great pleasure in stalking them, chasing them...then ripping them to shreds :)

yup, only a matter of time before the f8 decides the shrimp look like a good snack. It took mine a little while to figure it out with the first one, but now they don't stand a chance.

Absolutely. Size of the prey means nothing to a puffer.
When Martha was not much more than 2 inches long she killed and ate a 5 inch swan mussel!

Inverts are puffer food. Period.
