Well, This female are going together with this butterfly blue since they mate successfully. Anyway, I have one last blue pair (pretty expensive) coming in from Thailand. They both delay for one month. Both of them are in Colorado now and I should get it next week by express. I am not sure I want to sale it yet. I will breed to make it a proven pair first and then I decided from there. They are solid royal blue halfmoon. The male is 32 rays over halfmoon. He is in my banner.
What male you got there? Blue? What color you looking for? I think it is nice to get a proven pair or at least a match pair so you don't have to mixed match again. I do have other females (not blue) that know how to lay eggs and I might want to sale it. Like yellow halfmoon. I do have crownmoon females with big belly too and ready to breed. I do have a reserved of my last turquoise green halfmoon tsunami baby. So a lot of options and it just depends what you want.
Below is the male. I am still don't know I want to continue my blue line. I bought all this blue lines in December last year. Below is the male. Olala..... Yes. More expensive than the blue butterfly.
Great. I should have the blue female sibling of the 32 rays halfmoon male next week. Maybe I can let you have her. I prefer to cross breed the betta so if the 32 rays male match my blue double tail female, I can sale the blue sibling female for you.
I do change my mind if I feels like there is no tread to the female. I learned from earlier from other breeders that they putting plant in it to let the female hiding and I followed their method. Wasan did told me how he breed his betta. Nothing in the ceramics 12 inches bowl and it just an indian almond leaf inside. That is more wild. After many attempts breeding I have, the best is I don't put java moss anymore. I know when the pair can be breed nicely or not just by looking at the pair reaction in the first week pairing. Somehow it just depends. Recently I put nothing for the babies to especially the frys. I found out 1 gallon plastic tank works good for few frys like 24 and easy to change the water. When you put plant in the breeding tank, too much to clean up later and make a mess like the uneaten eggs yolk that stuck in the plant. I only put plants in a clean tank after frys a month old now.
All I can say is do whatever you feels good and works for you. Change it if it is not right and more convenience to you. That is it because you learned by your own experience. Listen too many breeders experiences is good but you have to make your own decision because the bettas are in your own hand. That is all I can say. Well, I just take a break since saturday and come back on sunday afternoon. Everything works so far and the blue babies butterly doing great with the father in the tank. He keeps picking up the babies that sit on the bottom. I saw the babies getting bigger now. Yippy.
Wou! what a baby sitter he is. Tomorrow I will take more pictures of them and up dating you member. I did see different black color of the babies! Interesting. I think I will have all kind of blue colors. Steel and green color too. Thanks again for people who put their name on the lists and I will tried to up-dating this batch of babies. So far so good. All healthy swimming and all still alive.
