Worst Water Change..

My worst water change was actually the last one I did. The hose dislodged from the tank and I did not know it......so about three hours with a steam cleaner sucking I dont know how many gallons out of the floor.....there was also the time i cleaned the filter and didn't have it seated back on properly so water was slowly coming out of the tank via filter...

Wow, sounds like a disaster. I have a small piece of scrap carpet that I roll out in front of my tank when I do a water change. It catches all the drips and the occasional spills and then dries out in the garage. It's been working quite well for me.
