Hi, I have these worms in my Aquarium gravel and I don't know what they are and if I should be worried about them, I have looked up Aquarium worms on the net and can only find Planaria worms which are small and white and you can see them on the glass etc.. it is not them as the worms in my tank are from an inch to 2 inches long and I only ever see them when I vacuum the gravel deeply in my tank, they seem to only live in the gravel, can anyone tell me what these worms could be?
Thanks in advance
KAZ.

Without some sort of picture almost no chance of a positive answer, lots of guesses but nothing more.

Sounds like nematodes .... if it is clean the gravel well (gravel vacuum) and feed less

It could be the tubifex then, they can breed in aquarium if the conditions suit them....
Up your tank maintenance regime (water changes) and begin feeding less to your fish (not just tubifex, everything, to make them hungry) and most likely your tubifex culture will die off/be eaten.
If indeed they are tubifex!
