I'm getting bored of my tank, I love my pair of HRPs but, I can't add much but few cats, 3 of which I'm aware will outgrow my tank within a few years, black widow tetras, and BNs.
My stocking is the pair, few of there offspring im about to put in pond outside, 8 black widows, 2 bns, 3 striped rapheals, 1 spotted rapheal, and couple mollys that get sick on and off daily. I'm tempted to buy anther tank but, id get yelled at if i did.

I think you definitely should get another tank! Wine or beer can do wonders in persuasion, y'know :hey:

I wish, grandfather drinks beer daily and drunk, hes mean.

Well, I decided to change things. I got sand, and next time I go to LFS, i'm getting crypts and some rossette swords. I'm considering getting a tank off craigslist for my HRP pair if I can make the money by doing work on weekends like mowing a yard or 2. As long as its small he won't care, just need at least 10 gallons at their size, a 20 long when they get older, which I'm looking for. I wanna keep my female con, but I don't know how she will end up fitting in. Also, tested water at LFS and my stats are right on for what I want. My P.H. is stable between 6.8 and 7.0. I think my water is 7.2, so I do a small squirt of P.H. down every 2 weeks plus I put in handful of salt every so often. So I was thinking, are there any geos I can keep 3-4 of that stay 4-5 inches? Whats A good small cichlid thats 3-4 inches max that would lay often and dig around alot to make nests, I like that behavior in cichlids. BTW, my tanks 29 gallons

So I want:
2x BNs (these might become pair, one male, one female)
6x Corys
4x Spotted Rapheals
6x Small Tetras
3-4x small geos
maybe small cichlid pair

I can add, or remove any options on this, since I'm paying for all, not my grandfather.

Its a 29, pet store has some but they get to big. They had Jupari, couple others tat get 6-7.

All geophagus get too big for a 29g but you would do very nice with a group of cupid cichlids really nice little fish :) I would forget the spotted raphaels as well as they get pretty big and 4 of them is going to over power the tank with everything else in it.

If your going for 3 or 4 Cupid cichlids in a 30 you could think about a pair of festivums for the upper water

so you would end up with

2x Festivums
4x Cupid Cichlids
8x Flame Tetras
8x Panda Cories
2x BNs

Thanks wills, but how hard are cupids to find?

Have you asked all your LFS if they can get them in for you?

I've not seen any available in any of my local shops but that's not to say they can't be ordered...
