Will This Tank Ever Cycle?

Sorry to hear it. I guess if you have had enough I don't blame you. I'm also pretty new at this and had almost the exact same situation as you. What I did was dump the tank, refill and then just dosed it back up to 2.5 every time it dropped to 0. In a few days I was completely cycled. I added 14 fish all on the same day and everyone of them is still alive approx 8 weeks later. I believe it took my tank about 9 weeks. Hope you change your mind.

I wouldn't empty the tank - keep it ticking over as the next person can then have a "partially" cycled tank which will put them a good few weeks ahead of the bare tank situation. Might also make it all more valuable...

I can readily understand you becoming discouraged. I suspect I would be very discouraged at 10 weeks myself. I am sorry to hear that you have given up. Who knows what might have happened in the next few days?
