i think i may have been sold a firemouth insted of a thorichthys ellioti

my question is would this setup still work with a firemouth?

1x ebjd
1x red spotted severum
8x buenos aires tetra
1x royal pleco
2x hoplo catfish

i will post a pic later to see for certian if is a mix up

tbh my Ellioti is more aggressive than any Firemouth I have ever come across, but both species should be fine with your other tankmates

I think it depends on the personality of the fish, my firemouth is more aggressive than the ellioti. I think you pic does look like a firemouth, what size is it?

The ellioti dorsal fin is tipped in orange and the spot in the middle of the body is ringed with blue. I can tell the young ellioti I have a tankfull lol. I am trying to think how my firemouth looked, I remember almost black in colour not like yours, yours could be a female firemouth being lighter.
