if i cant get the 55g tank i want because my floor cant suport it. i was thinking i have a 14g tank would it be ok to divide it and give the male 5g and get 4 females to go in the 9g if it was hevely planted or would it not be big enough because mose places i read said you need atleast 10g

That should be fine.....but I would be inclined to give the females the extra gallon and keep the male in 4gal.

will that be big enough for the male
and do you think i could put some shrimps or pygmy corys in with the females

We have males in 4gals and they are all doing fine. A small group of pygmy corys would be ok.....not sure about shrimp as I've never kept them.

hey.. i keep amano shrimp in with my boys, and they seem to get on fine.. apart from fred, but he's just grumpy!! edd and miagi both enjoy chasing them around ever now and again, and the shrimp do a good job of cleaning up any uneaten food the boys miss. and cuz the boys chase the shrimp, it gives them something to do periodically. ive got pygmy corys and 2 ottos in with the boys aswell, and everything is peaceful. :)

how much would a 30 by 30cm diveder normaly cost because and my lfs they cost £7 is that a good price

can you get black dividers or is there a way of misting it so they dont see each other and get stressed

They mist up themselfs over time. Mine were clear at first but now you can just make out a fish on the other side when you look at it.
