Hey! I have two congo frogs and three different types of goldfish. All the goldfish aren't fancy species and live quite contently in one tank but i spotted a beautiful large aquarium today and have always wondered if they could live in peace together. I've seen congo frogs in a tank with tetras but I've seen them kept in freshwater also. Size is not an issue because i can find a big enough tank but does anyone know whether they can live together?

Sorry, I can't give you any advice but...
I've read your other topic about tadpoles and you said you'd try to raise some. Maybe another poster could advise, but would the goldfish eat the forgspawn before you have a chance to fish it out?

you say they are not fancy goldfish?

if so comet type goldfish will most likely try to eat them,
they also require different temperatures

Well these frogs are quite big. We're talking the size that a fish couldn't really even fit a leg in the mouth. I'm not putting the tadpoles or any youngsters in. I'm on about my adult pair. Thanks :) I've read somewhere before that congo frogs can live without a heater as long as they are getting direct sunlight or something.

If they are big then they aren't Congo frogs (African Dwarf variety) and will be African Clawed Frogs which will be fine with goldfish provided the fish don''t aquire a taste for the frogs slime

Ok, Thanks. It's hard to get a decent photo but I'll probably visit the store I bought them from and search into it. Thanks for the info! :good:

African clawed frogs have visible claws and normally of lighter colours then ADF
