I added a pecotamoius ( sp? - not even close) -- the fish that eats algea and a I also added a zebra danio

Wil lthe fish be ok in my 50 gallon tank with 2 convicts and 1 GT? .. i got the danio so he could be chased around

that would be a plecostomus, yes they eat algea and are nice looking fish i recomend one

the danio might and probably will get eaten i would advise against the danio, but the pleco would be good just get one thats a few inches big

I'm supposing the danio is a dither fish for the Convicts? Not a fun life for him, I wouldn't use schooling fish as dither fish. You'd be better off next time with a siamese algae eater, or some small type of bottom dwelling catfish like a synodotis of some type.

Don't use a siamiese algae eater/chinese algae eater, they are known to rasp the mucus from the skin of high sided fish (like cichlids)

Flying fox would be good, your looking for something solitary, not too aggressive and fairly robust.

flying fox? good with convicts and GT

woke up this morning and convict had danio in mouth...... oops

i put my 5 Zebra Danios out my slightly overstocked community tank and put them in my 180litre with three baby convicts and an unsociable snow ball plec. No problems with the convicts (they look the same, so i refer to the group of them as 'the wives') but i rekon i might have a few when they get a bit bigger :p

well convicts must be all females or something because my male attacks everything smaller than him
