My little crayfish, (Had it for a week and a half) has already moulted twice. Is this fine? Its still a juvy, and only 2-1" (More likely, inbetween)

Cycled tank.

10G tank for itself, regular diet of fruits (One, or twice a week) and spirulana pellets (SP?).

It seems really happy, and is living with my two swordtail fry.
(I will rehome it as soon as it hits 1".)

So, how often will it moult?

i would not say they moult, i think that is left to those with fur lol - they do however shell a lot.

i wouldnt worry about the shelling, they will do this often, I have two blue crayfish and will often leave the shell in the tank as they do eat it as its good for them. i also feed mine a defrosted prawn 'i pull one prawn apart and chuck it in'.

post some pics/vids of the tank, i'll do the same

How often a month?

Also, I'm pretty good with my crayfish's info except for shedding, moulting, etc. (Couldn't find any dirt about that. ):)

I honestly don't know about small crayfish. My P. clarkii has only molted once in about three months, but he was a good 5 inches when I got him, so he's probably not got much growing left to do. You can usually see it coming - mine laid on his side for a while and wouldn't eat leading up to his molt, and was very skittish for a day or so afterwards.

mr pinchy shed once and i thought he was dead lol

i heard they shed once a month :)
