Will Mts Eat Apple Snail Poo?

I really need to do something about the apple snail poo-it makes such a mess and surely can't be doing the ammonia levels any good? Would mts eat it?
I have read that they reproduce a lot if there is excess food. There is never any uneaten food, but plenty of the snail poo, if they'll eat it. So would they be likely to breed like crazy?

They probably will eat it, just not massive amounts of it. At the very least their digging should put it under the substrate where plants roots can use it.
