Hi everyone, Does anyone know if a tetratec ex700 will fit a juwel rio 125. I really want to buy one, however i dont know whether the inlet and oulet pipes will fit through the small corners on each side of the tank. Also will the actual cannister fit under the tank. Has anyone got this filter in a juwel rio 125, if so please give some advice.

one more question what is a spray bar for the tetratec ex700 WJAT DOES IT DO.

i've got a ex700 and a juwel rio 125, the pipes fit fine, the spraybar is to agitate the water surface so it can diffuse oxygen in to the water, i have no idea if it will fit the cabinet but it should, i don't have the specific juwel cabinet for the rio 125 another thing i can say for the ex700 is not having to manually syphon is excellent and it is silent (absolutely can not hear it). you will need to clean the spray bar frequently though (mine seems to keep getting blocked up with friggin ramshorn and plant material ¬_¬)

my fish love the extra room and oxygenated water the the replacement of the internal filter gave.

Thanks for the info, can i put it into an estabilished aquarium. Also do you have both inlet and oulet pipes through the same corner of the aquarium or in separate. P.S. What do you mean manually syphon. Sorry i keep asking questions its just that i have never had an external filter.

no problem mate, yes both pipes will fit through the same corner, i put it in an established tank but ran it along side the existing filter/s for about 3 weeks before removing the internal ones (this was to build up bacteria in the new filter media). syphoning manually would mean sucking water in to the cannister to fill it with water before the motor will work, you do it by pressing a button 3 or 4 times on the ex700
