Will Cuttings Re-root?

Hi guys i have 3 plants in my tank (dont know what they are called) and 1 of them isnt doing so well due to my fish eating it lol so i want to take it out and plant some cuttings from 1 of the other 2 which are doing really well can this be done? if so is there any specific way of doing it like cutting the stem a certain way ect?

If its a stem plant, just cut it and strip all the leaves off the part that you push into the substrate. It should root pretty quickly.
