i saw some really kewl looking crowntail bettas at my lfs a few days ago and i want some. but my tanks have all guppies in there.

will the betta be aggresive towards them?

Yes they will, my 1st betta killed the guppies that were in the same tank, I keep my bettas alone with just a couple of cories to clean the bottom of the tank up a bit. I think the reason bettas are aggresive towards guppies is that they mistake the brightly coloured tails (especially of males) for another betta, and they are very territorial

they usually are aggresive to fish like guppies because they mistake there fins for those of other male bettas. if you really want one of the CT's than just get a seperate 2 gallon bowl or something, they should do fine in that.

I have a male and 3 females in a tank with about 15 guppies, both sexes and thankfully no one has been hurt, the guppies get chased occassionally but my male is too interested in the 3 females...showing off to them all the time.
