Hi,

I've got 3 nearly fully grown pearl gouramis. I'm looking to put in several amano shrimp (japonica) as I've got a hair algae problem and I've read they can help clear it up...

One thing I don't want is for my inquisitive pearls to think that they're lunch! Is this likely??

Thanks,

BFG

Quite likely I'm afraid. It "might" work if you get some adult Amano's and have lots of plants though :good:
Get one and try it out - you might be lucky :)

I have two full grown pearl gouramis in my tank and I have four amino shrimp. One on the shrimp is very small. I have had no problems with the gouramis at all. They have all been together for around four months.

Hey Santos - thanks for the reply. 6 shrimp are now in the tank and seem to be doing ok.
