They were the wild Bettas I wanted originally but when I was looking I could only find them on ebay for £140 per pair plus shipping whereas a LFS had my Betta Coccina in for £5 each. My bank account won that argument
It's an addictive bug to catch. I look forward to seeing the macrostoma if you manage to get them. Beautiful fish. And their size is impressive. I've always been a fan of Betta tussyae, if I ever got the opportunity I would jump at it.Around a year. Still learning about them, though.

Very nice looking betta, are they less aggressive since they are wild?
Well a majority of them are. I heard that Betta gladiator are aggressive, though I have no experience in keeping that species.
