First time i have seen this in the wild. I thought you guys and gals might appreciate it.

Hi. I've seen it a few times. That's why some areas & lakes ban fishing during bass spawning season. They're too easy to catch while nesting - the adults will grab any lure or bait you put near the nest or school of fry - defending the eggs or young like cichlids do. Nice pictures! :good:
 
I was worried how they were going to turn out. I wish there wasn't any junk floating in the water though lol.
 
Thats really cool, I actually had a Blue Gill in my tank for a while when my creek near my house dried up and he was left in a puddle of water. I fed him well and he plumped up a bit before the fall arrived I released him back into the creek. They are truly cool fish, its a shame people dont understand what development and factories are doing to the creeks and rivers they live in.
