why do I always have problems with guppies.
Ok about a week ago my female pregnant guppy looked a lot thinner so I thought she had had her babies but as I couldnt find any they had been eaten.
She still had a big gravid spot and during this week she has got really big again.
Anyway now her eyes are completely black and shes sort of floating near top of tank sometimes in open sometimes amongst the plants.
Is she ok or is she about to give birth .

Sounds like she could be ready to drop the fry, keep the feeding every day (but small doses). Be sure to do a check if she loses any size under ornaments and amongst the plants for fry.

as for the black eyes, it's normal, its a reaction to the lights
