Why is this happening to my ram !

Hi all so I have a ram which has developed this huge eye - why is this happening and more importantly how do I treat it ?!

Thats called Pop Eye which is usually a symptom rather than a disease in its own right. Rams are a really tough fish to keep. Do you know what your nitrate reading is? I'm assuming no issues with Ammonia or Nitrite?

Okay - yep everything is allright , I’m not sure exactly what they are - the other rams are fine though ??
Would knowing the stocking help ?

Could you please provide accurate results for NH3 NO2 NO3 pH GH KH ? Everything's allright doesn't mean much...

Eye is swollen due to a build up of lymphatic fluid.
In most cases, this is due to poor water maintenance or unsuitable water. It has also been found that a lack of vitamins in the diet can cause exophtalmia (popeye).
How do you feed your Ram ?

With pop eye it’s more likely to be water related than tank mates so if you can get exact numbers on the three things I mentioned would be a good start.

Any information you can give us will help though like tank mates, size, filtration and water hardness ph and temperatures would be good too
