Why is there bubbles in my bettas tank?

I do not have a bubbler or anything in my bettas tank yet when i went to feed him today half the surface of the water was filled with little white bubbles, whats wrong with him???

There is nothing wrong with your Betta. Male Bettas build bubble nests. If they were to mate with a female, the male would pick up the eggs and place them into the bubble nest he has built.

even if there is no female the male betta will build a bubble nest.

Yes, mine built several and he was the ONLY fish in the tank.

Mine is also the only fish in the tank. . .it's weird! Why would he build a "nest" if it's just him? I think I got one crazy fish!
