I have recently put 2 rosey red minnows in my 10 gallon tank.(I also have three other goldfish. I don't think that they are bullying him) the rosey reds usually swim in the top or mid level of the tank; However, today one of them has started to exclusively hang out near the floor and is barely eating. So I'm not sure whether or not he's sick or just shy?

welcome!
since goldfish are massive waste producers and you have a small tank for them, it might be a water quality problem.

what are your water parameters?

if you do not have a test kit or a way to test it, first do a 50% water change with conditioner :)

how big are the goldfish? in the future i reccomend a really big tank or pond, since most goldfish would like at least a 50 gallon

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Pictures of the fish and tank so we can identify the rosy red minnows and check them for diseases.

How long has the tank been set up for?
What is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH of the aquarium water?
How long have you had the fish for?

How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the aquarium?

What sort of filter is on the tank?
How often and how do you clean the filter?

Have you added anything to the tank in the last 2 weeks?
Did you do anything to the tank yesterday?

hey yall I think it was an issue with the water quality because after i changed the water (50%) and changed the decor a bit he started acting normal again within the next 20-30 minutes

I would get your water tested for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH

I would do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for the next week just to make sure everything is good. :)
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
