Why Is My Neon Tetra Turing White

Thanks for all the replies. My neon tetra died after I took the photos. I found him dead in the morning. Its been a couple of days and I have kept an eye on the other tetras but they seem fine. No signs of disease or stress and definitely no colour loss. I am still going to continue watching them just incase . I'm not sure if my tetras are 100% safe but they look alright at the moment. I know their is no cure for neon tetra disease and it worries me. I hope it not one of those diseases that stay dormant and then come back even worse.
I went down to my LFS yesterday and all the fish were gone. The tanks were all empty. There were some guys dismantling the tanks and when I asked what they were doing and where all the fish had gone they said "we're just cleaning them". I phoned the LFS today and they said we've put the tanks back and will have the fish back in a couple of days.
I'm wondering if all the fish losses I've had was something to do with the LFS.

I am having problems with my minnows developing a white spot/mark on the bottom lip which spreads to the whole mouth and then face. The entire face then turns white and the fish swim around with their mouths wide open and then soon after can't swim and end up dead. Is this the same bacteria/disease thats affected the tetra but in a different way? The LFS seem to think its a fungal infection like fozziebear suggested. Ive been told by my LFS to treat it with Melafix.

if its that same fuzzy white patch then i think its fungus, if it looks like your fish has been sprinkled with seasalt, it is ich.

thats mouth fungus that the minnows have. treat the whole tank.

I'm treating the tank with Anti Internal Bacteria and Pima fix as Wilder suggested in the emergency section. All my fish have been suffering from different diseases which could have been brought on by stress and too much cleaning. I have now stopped doing 10% water changes everyday and do one 30-40% water change a week. I have also stopped feeding my fish twice a day and only feed them once a day.
fozziebear and nick16 I think you are both right. It is some kind of fungal infection the problem was what kind and what to treat it with. I read online that I should treat it with Anti fungus and Finrot but Wilder said she didn't think it was strong enough to do the job as I have too many different problems. She agreed that I was wiser to have bought the Anti Internal Bacteria.

im not expert on all the different types of treatments but from your description, i think it is mouth fungus. (if its like white fluff around the head and mouth) go to your lfs and look on the back of the med boxes and it will tell you wht each one is for. hth

It definitely didn't look like white fluff. It looked a lot more like what the tetra had but it spread over the whole head and neck area and then they swam around with their mouths wide open.
