Why does my glow light tetra have a big belly?

He (or more likely she) just looks like an enthuiastic eater. I don't think she's overfat.

glowlights are indeed enthusiastic feeders and often look that way. Should be back to normal by tomorrow.

Yes he definitely does eat a lot I feed 2x a day

Feed once a day and only what the tetras will eat in about 30 seconds. Ignore what it syas on the fish food packaging .

If he still seems bloated after reducing feeding feed him a shelled pea cooked in aquarium water

I have 10 glow light tetra and I just checked a none look that, I feed them 2 small meals a day which add up to 1 regular meal and try and give them different food each time. Tetra min flakes plus and Hikari micro pellets.

I've always been curious, do you use a frozen pea? Cut it up? Smash it?

Can you use a frozen pea?

Yes, but you have to cook them until they are soft and then remove the shell. Like @JuiceBox52 said in tank water
