Why Does He Eat All My Fish?

oh my god... i dont want to be judgemental but you really arent looking at this the right way

Option A- Flush (noooooooooooooo)
Option B- Pond (noooooooooooooo)
Option C- Exchange At fish shop... profitable?
Option D- Post an ad on the ad section of this forum and lots of people(who who actually like fish) would love to take care of it
Option E- keep it.... on its own!!!!!

ok A&B- result in a dead fish.... no questions asked.
C&D- means you have lots of money to buy more fish, if you want money?
E- Prob dead fish as you obviously have too little knowledge to be keeping such a nice fish or if not then major expenditure to buy another tank to setup a community aquarium

The choice is yours!!!

I agree with this completly. You need to make a choice about what you are going to do and do it soon.

If you are going to pick A or B then I would suggest that you do not get any more fish - ever

if you chose C or D then well done

If you chose E then you better start saving as you will need a bigger tank. Plus you had better start learning about how to deal with these fish and get a lock on your bedroom door and do not let your brother anywhere near it.

As said there are people on this forum who will happily take the fish off your hands and home it and care for it correctly.

Let us know where in the country you are

if you want it to have a tank mate then why not get a bigger fish
but that catfish sure looks cool
i wonder if it can get along with my gourami :shifty:

This looks like a wind up but if its not DO THE RIGHT THING sell it,trade it or give it away DO NOT FLUSH IT DOWN THE TOILET OR PUT IT IN A POND THATS WELL OUT OF ORDER your mum and uncle should be ashamed of themselves
are you in the uk?

I cannot believe this is for real. Either this is a stupid (very late) April fools or you are a highly irresponsible fish 'keeper'. What are you doing with the catfish?

If you take people links and read then like i did and i dont even have the dam fish, YOU CAN NOT PUT ANY OTHER FISH WITH IT EVEN IF IT IS LARGER IT MAY NOT EAT IT IN ONE GO BUT WILL OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
If you have such a large tank get the fish you want and let some one else that has a intrest in this fish buy it of you, if you have thought of killing already you bound to get bored again in a few months this fish lives years and gets bigger!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"!"

Troll time again!

Catfish of that size will eat other small fish as snacks. :( I would go on line (if you plan to keep this fish), and see what type of fish are compatable with it. If you have a large tank, then you may be able to get some large fish to put in it, that the catfish won't bother, or eat. If you have a large tank it would be a shame to only have one fish in it. If your uncle wouldn't mind, I would trade the catfish in to the LFS, and have them give you a credit towards some fish that you do want. Good Luck. :)

You did see that this thread was from April, and the kid hasn't been back since, right?

i think this thread is dead now...

just hope the fish isnt

I'm pretty sure it exsisted, but I'm guessing the kid was maybe 10 years old - tops. Have you ever tried to reason with a kid that young? They panic. I'm hoping that he was making out his uncle and mother to be worse than what they really were... but.... who knows?

i know a $136 fish at my lfs that would be 1/5th his size and make a tasty meal out of him :D

it's just natural instinct though.... don't worry about it.
