No, this is normal iridescent patches on this species of corydoras. The Albino versions still have iridescent markings to them, but are harder to see in a lot of cases. There is no velvet on this fish. This is an albino hoplisoma paleatum, or albino peppered cory, and the markings line up with exactly the same spots they're supposed to have a metallic shine.Look at the top portion of your Cory before the dorsal fin, you see the small gold specs? That looks like Velvet (Gold Dust parasite). It looks like infection is surrounding the area of the specs. There are specs on the nose too.
It's normal, take a look at the albino paleatum i shared in the first part of this postSome of my albinos have green in the eyes is this normal or a sickness
I am looking at his picture. I dont know what it is. But thanks for pointing it out. I wonder if his Cory is scratching on objects. No, this is normal iridescent patches on this species of corydoras. Can slightly see the iridescence on the shoulder here, that's a hard one to show in most photos. But top of the snout is a very bold spot for iridescence on paleatum.
Can compare to normal color paleatum, the iridescent patches are the same, except they show less blue on albino.
