My husband bought only the API Nitrate kit with the advice from the store clerk.
The Platy tank was: 20 ppm
The tetra tank was: 5 ppm
According to the instructions a Nitrate level less than 40 is recommended for fresh water aquariums.
Did a 30 percent water change last night and they look good so far. Hopefully my girls will be okay.. Thank you again for all the advice. I very much appreciated it.
