Why Are The 'clubs' Being Closed?

can any mods shed some light on this?

have had a look in the board announcments section...no explaination there ? did i miss a thread explain why the descion to close them was made? and by who?

i love the oscar club, its a great place to talk just about the oscars without fear of going off topic or onto another fish was just about to join the fryday club too

hmm i just asked the same question in anouncements... they all say they are "pending a decsion" nice to have been warned

reckon maybe this club "thing" has gone too far tho.. a more recent one looks more like a night down the pub!!

its not like theres 5 per board or something daft like that..theres just one there, one over there..maybe another over at livebearers and one at predatory fishies...i cant see the harm in them?
wouldnt mind one that was a bit like going down the pub...havent managed to get to one in years!!!

i never understand temporary closures though...why not just leave them open until a full desicion is made???

also what is there to discuss? what is the 'problem' with these clubs?? come on mods! they aint doing any harm?? shed some light on what the discussion is actually about?
is there too many? has someone complained? is it inducing bullying or abuse on the boards??

Personally I don't think any of them should ever have been pinned.

But I think it's fine that they exist. They just need their own section (if they're staying).
I also think if they're going to stay then there needs to be a 'process' to open one.
Eg. It would have to be agreed with a mod first. That way you don't get flooded with 'unuseful' clubs just because people seem to think its 'cool' to open them at the mo.

thats good thinking. thing is i cant see any 'inactive' clubs, all seemed to be used and enjoyed by the members? agree with the pinning thing, any that did become inactive would just eventually drop off the page then
