No, we'll be having turkey again this year!

My OH gave me a pair of Honey Gouramis 6 years ago, they were beautiful, he had to order them from the LFS. They bred with me too, I raised 12 lovely fry from them. Unfortunately I have none left now.

Hmhmh....money, stuff for my nano. I've ben searching in my LNP for a job, my parents'll pay for half a 125G, maybe just a 75G.
I saw a 35G in the newspaper for $75 with all acessories. I was thinking.....Lol...

You can be any age to get a job. Sometimes though your age limits what kind of jobs you can have. How old are you? There are different jobs that are more appropriate for 14-15 year olds.

Like dish-washing. I know this bar down the road from my school hires kids 13-15 as dishw washers, but my folks wont let me work in a bar :/
I told them that unless they can help me find a better job, thats just what I need to do.
Of course I can't work there without their signature, and I'll need them to drive me....so its not worth a fight. I might get a job at my dads company, just maybe.

Last year I bought myself a Betta for christmas, lol, but my Christmas present to myself this year will probably be reptile related as my snake is outgrowing his tank... which is a 20 gallon... and made for fish... so maybe I will be getting some fish after all ^^ Depends on my financial situation and how well I can pack more stuff into my room.

i couldn't think of anything i wanted last year so my parents took to for a trip to a not so local fish shop and they bought me a load of fish for my pressie.

got quite a few ideas already though this year so no fish for me.

Probably not me- Christmas came early yesterday when I brought home a baby furt--

They are having some great sales on tank set-ups though :shifty:

Nope. I've decided I've about had it with fish; they're too space/time/money consuming. The tanks have made our electric bill go up so much that it isn't even funny, and every free minute of my time is consumed doing water changes. The betta rescue has been fun, but when you rescue unhealthy animals, they tend to wrack up medical bills throughout their lives. I am under the impression that sickly fish tend to continually have troubles, weakened immunity, perhaps? Everyone that I bought ill tends to have flare-ups, and the one that I bought healthy has never had a problem in his life.
Once I get the 75g for my goldfish, I'm done. The betta tanks will fill with Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches as they age and pass on. Then I'll just have the two goldfish and the CAE. Those tanks are the lowest maintenance because they can be cycled; its these 9 unfiltered five-gallon tanks that are killing me.

However, I am buying gifts FOR my fish for christmas. The bettas are getting wingless fruit flies, and the CAE and Goldfish are getting a bigger tank. All of my pets get holiday gifts, and this holiday season, two mice are getting gifts as well: the gift of a new home with us. I just drove to Port Jervis today to fill out the paperwork and pick them up ^^

Child Labor Standards for 14- and 15-Year-old Youths

Youths aged 14 and 15 may work in various jobs outside school hours
under the following conditions: no more than 3 hours on a school day
with a limit of 18 hours in a school week; no more than 8 hours on a
nonschool day with a limit of 40 hours in a nonschool week; and not
before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m., except from June 1 through Labor Day,
when the evening hour is extended to 9 p.m.

Individual states also have labour laws though, so you should be aware that this may not necessarily apply where you live.

I'm hopefully not getting any fish for Christmas, since it's pretty important that pick out my own, but I will be getting money that will go towards my tanks :D

I am not getting fish, but I am pretty sure my husband got me a hood for my 30G tank. He has already bought and wrapped my present. I can't figure out what else could possibly be 3 feet long and rectangular.
